Starter Topic: The New Princess Look

Yay or nay?
I personally feel that they could've improved some characters they didn't touch, while they just destroyed others like Cinderella

I didn't even know they were doing this (I guess I haven't been paying attention at work). Some of it seems to just be a new art style, but I really dislike Cinderella and Aurora's hair. It looks like they were given 2012 hairstyles and it just doesn't fit. The rest of it looks fine.

Hmm, I haven't seen any pictures of this. Can anyone direct me to a link that can show them? Or maybe post a photo on here?

I understand that there's probably a need to keep the Princesses cohesive and "relevant," but this was just not the route they should have taken.

They look like Wal-Mart versions of themselves.

I don't know. I mean I love how they're all glittery but they could have done that to the originals. Their hair could be updated in a less sloppy modern look and the dresses, don't get me started. I'd rather have them look like the designer dolls than princesses going to high school prom...

They look too model-y If people are complaining about the standards Disney is setting with Princess movies (NOT THAT I AGREE BECAUSE I DON'T) this isn't going to help them.

The annoying thing I found was they took Cinderella who was completely fine the way she was and destroyed her, but with someone like Rapunzel, they can't get the design for her right because of the difference in animation but they barely touched her at all when she needs improvements.

And did you noticed they did NOTHING to Pocahontas?? I mean, yes I don't like the new style, but they didn't even bother with her or any other minor characters, you know? I wish they didn't have to update it. I mean, imagine when we have kids, the princesses will be wearing completely different outfits, hairstyles, etc.. and when they watch the movies they'll be asking "Why do they look weird in the movies?". :I bleh.

Oh my gosh thats so true. THAT WOULD BE HORRIBLE.

We should just go buy as many things as we can in the classic design and store them away for our future children. They won't be exposed aha.

I do however like the new doll designs, like Pocahontas' face mold is great on her new doll.

But these graphics - not so much.

They were all beautiful before. :I

I bolded what you said because THANK THA LAWD someone didn't say 'blue'.
It bugs me to no end when they say her dress is blue.. because in the movie, it's like a silvery color, and I think there's a blue tint in there.
But goodness, thank you. lol

To me it kinda changes through out the movie lol. Some points it's tinted sliver and others blue, like when she's dancing with the prince. Maybe that's just me~

I'd have to agree with this statement aha.

I find this too when I watch it.
